Instagram Highlights downloader for public highlights, covers and pinned stories — no login, works on iPhone, Android, Windows and macOS.
Instagram Highlight
Highlights are stories a creator pinned to a public profile. iSaver reads the public highlight or profile URL and lists each item so you can download Instagram highlights — photos, videos and covers — without login.
Open the Highlight on a public profile or copy the URL of the relevant profile. The Highlight must be visible publicly; private accounts and restricted Highlights cannot be downloaded.
Paste the link into iSaver. The downloader checks the public Highlight data and lists the available items, including video clips and still images when Instagram exposes them.
Save each pinned story as MP4 or JPG depending on its format. Downloading one item at a time keeps the process clear and helps you avoid saving unrelated Highlight entries.
Instagram Highlight
Save public Instagram highlights as the original HD MP4 or JPG, item by item and without login.
Access the content the account preserved as a public Highlight. iSaver focuses on the pinned stories Instagram still exposes on the profile.
Each item keeps the media format Instagram serves. Video Highlight entries download as MP4, while still-image entries download as JPG when available.
Covers and previews help you pick what you actually want to save. This is cleaner than downloading an entire collection blindly.
No private access is bypassed. If a Highlight belongs to a private account or is hidden by Instagram, iSaver will not force access.
Instagram Highlight
We treat Highlights as the dependable cousin of stories — and from running this tool day-to-day, that distinction matters more than people expect. A Highlight is a permanent, creator-curated collection of past stories pinned to a profile. Unlike live stories where you race a 24-hour timer, public Highlight items stay reachable until the owner removes them.
That permanence makes Highlights the right save-for-later workflow when you spot a story you might want a week or month from now. If the creator pins it to a public Highlight, iSaver can still fetch it; if they do not, expiry is permanent.
The circular Highlight cover is a separate decorative image, not one of the story entries. iSaver lists and saves the actual story items inside the Highlight, each as its own MP4 or JPG.
A Highlight with 30 entries is 30 separate files, previewed first so you can choose exactly what you need instead of receiving one archive.
Highlights on a private account are only visible to approved followers inside the app, so they remain outside iSaver’s public-only reach.
Because Highlights do not expire on a 24-hour clock, you can return and save them days or weeks later — unlike active stories.
Instagram Highlight
Formats, limits and privacy.
A regular Instagram story is ephemeral — it stays publicly visible for exactly 24 hours from the creator's posting timestamp, then Instagram removes it from public endpoints and no third-party tool can recover it. A Highlight is a story the account owner has deliberately pinned to their profile so visitors can keep seeing it indefinitely after the 24-hour window closes. From iSaver's perspective the practical difference is huge: live stories must be saved before the timer runs out, while Highlight items remain reachable as long as the creator keeps them pinned. iSaver can only download Highlight items that are publicly visible and still pinned on Instagram at the time you paste the link — once the owner unpins a Highlight, Instagram stops serving it publicly and the downloader cannot reach it.
No, and this is a deliberate scope choice. iSaver offers per-item download so you only save the specific story entries inside a Highlight that you actually need, rather than dumping a multi-megabyte ZIP that mostly contains items you would delete anyway. This makes the saved files easier to review, avoids accidental bulk downloads of unrelated media, and gives you precise control over the archive you build. A Highlight with 30 entries is presented as 30 separate previewed files; you click Download on each one you want to keep. If you own the Instagram account and need a full account-wide export including every Highlight you have ever published — even unpinned ones — Instagram's official Download Your Data tool delivers a complete archive directly to your registered email.
Video Highlight items save as MP4 files and still-image Highlight items save as JPG files, in each case using the public file Instagram currently serves for that pinned story. iSaver does not convert formats just to change the file extension, does not transcode video, does not rebuild missing audio, and does not composite multiple items together. The download reflects exactly the media type Instagram exposes for each Highlight entry. Story stickers (polls, music tags, locations, mentions, GIFs) are baked into the frame by Instagram at upload time and appear in the saved file; Instagram's in-app overlays such as the Highlight cover ring, progress segments, and account header are rendered client-side and are not part of the downloaded media, so they will not appear in your file.
No. Highlights on private Instagram accounts remain protected by Instagram's privacy controls and are not accessible through iSaver. Private-account Highlights are only visible to approved followers inside the Instagram app — there is no public endpoint a third-party tool can legitimately reach. The same applies to deleted Highlight items, restricted Highlights, age-gated content, and region-blocked Highlight entries: iSaver does not bypass any of those access controls by design, and any tool that claims to download from private accounts is either misleading users or violating Instagram's terms of service. Public-only access is a deliberate boundary, not a temporary limitation. For a complete export of your own account's Highlights — including private and unpinned ones — use Instagram's official Download Your Data tool.
