Copy the video URL
Open the Instagram video post in the app or browser, tap the share menu or three-dot menu, then copy the public link. If the account is private, deleted or restricted, the link will not expose a downloadable public file.
Video downloader
Paste a public Instagram video link and download Instagram videos online in HD as a clean MP4 file. This free Instagram video downloader keeps the original quality and audio Instagram serves, adds no watermark, and works in the browser with no Instagram login required.

Instagram video downloader for feed videos, reels-style posts and legacy IGTV links — works on iPhone, Android, Windows and macOS.
Instagram video
Skip screen recordings and shaky captures. iSaver reads the public Instagram video URL and prepares the original MP4 so you can download Instagram videos in full quality without login.
Open the Instagram video post in the app or browser, tap the share menu or three-dot menu, then copy the public link. If the account is private, deleted or restricted, the link will not expose a downloadable public file.
Return to iSaver and paste the URL into the search field. The tool detects the content type automatically, requests the public media data and prepares the available MP4 without asking for your Instagram password.
Click Download to save the video to your phone, tablet or computer. The file keeps the quality and audio track Instagram currently serves, and iSaver does not add a logo, intro, outro or watermark.
Instagram video
Save Instagram videos as the original HD MP4 file rather than a re-encoded screen recording.
Most public video links are processed in a few seconds before the download button appears. If Instagram is rate-limiting, removing the post or blocking the region, iSaver shows the failure instead of pretending a file exists.
iSaver does not re-encode or upscale the video. It returns the public file Instagram still serves, so the final resolution depends on the creator's upload and Instagram's current CDN version.
When Instagram delivers the audio track with the public media file, it stays inside the downloaded MP4. If Instagram has muted the clip or removed licensed audio, no downloader can restore that missing track.
No Instagram password, no browser extension and no app install are required. The page runs in modern browsers on iPhone, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux.
Instagram video
When we built the video tool we tested hundreds of public posts and found Instagram serves the same clip at different qualities depending on how it was originally posted. A standard feed video, a video in the Reels-style player, and a legacy IGTV upload all arrive through the CDN as MP4 — but the resolution ceiling and the audio handling differ by type.
iSaver returns the highest-quality public MP4 Instagram exposes for that exact post at request time. It never transcodes or upscales, so whatever the original uploader provided is the hard ceiling. We call this out honestly rather than promising a fake "4K" upgrade — that integrity is the whole point of the tool.
Feed videos are typically delivered up to 1080p in their original aspect ratio. The same clip reshared into the Reels player is re-encoded vertically (1080×1920) and can differ slightly in bitrate. iSaver saves whichever public rendition the link resolves to.
IGTV no longer exists as a separate product — older IGTV uploads now live as ordinary feed videos. Their links still resolve and iSaver downloads them like any other public video, though very old uploads may be capped at 720p because that is all Instagram retained.
You receive the original H.264 video / AAC audio MP4 essentially byte-for-byte. If Instagram muted the public version after a copyright claim, the muted track is what is publicly available, so that is what downloads.
No third-party tool can produce a higher resolution than Instagram stores. A service promising "4K" from a 1080p source is upscaling or mislabelling — iSaver reports the real resolution instead.
Instagram video
Direct answers before saving a public video.
Yes. The Instagram Video Downloader at iSaver is completely free for public Instagram videos — there is no signup on iSaver, no daily download cap, no premium tier, and no Instagram login required. Paste the public video URL into the search bar, wait a few seconds for the downloader to prepare the MP4, then click Download to save the file directly to your device. iSaver does not stamp a watermark, logo, intro, or outro onto the file, and it never asks for your Instagram username, password, or session cookie. The whole transaction is a single anonymous request from your browser to the public Instagram CDN, which is the same request Instagram already serves when anyone views the post while logged out.
iSaver retrieves the highest-quality public MP4 Instagram still serves for that specific video — typically up to 1080p for a feed video uploaded in HD, and 1080×1920 px for a Reel. The downloader never re-encodes, transcodes, or upscales the file, so the resolution you receive is the hard ceiling set by the creator's original upload and Instagram's current CDN rendition. A 4K video uploaded by the creator will not magically become 4K on Instagram's side: Instagram caps long-form delivery at 1080p, and any third-party tool promising "4K from a 1080p source" is upscaling or mislabelling. iSaver reports the real resolution so you know what you are saving.
No. Videos from private accounts, close-friends stories, age-restricted posts, region-restricted posts, and deleted videos cannot be accessed with iSaver. The downloader only works with public Instagram URLs that resolve in a logged-out browser session, and it does not bypass privacy settings, login walls, or geographic blocks — any third-party tool that claims to download from private accounts is either misleading users or breaking Instagram's terms of service. If you need a copy of a private video on an account you own, the right path is Instagram's official Download Your Data export, which delivers a full archive of every video, photo, story, and account setting straight from Instagram to your registered email address.
No. iSaver never stamps a logo, frame, intro, outro, or watermark onto the downloaded MP4 — you receive the public file in exactly the form Instagram makes available, byte-for-byte H.264 video and AAC audio. This is intentional: a watermark would defeat the point of a download that should look like the source. Downloading the file does not transfer copyright to you; the original creator still owns the content, so always check with them before reposting, editing, remixing, or using the video commercially. For personal viewing, archiving your own posts, or legitimate research and journalism use, downloading a publicly visible video is generally fine in most jurisdictions, but please respect the creator and Instagram's terms of service.
Continue with another iSaver downloader for the same Instagram account.
